Friday Night Blow Job

No, no . . . not that sort of Blow Job you mucky pup! I’m talking the bouncy, smooth, silky kind of blow job that crowns your head and frames your face in all its glory.

I’m known to LOVE a big bouncy blow and with a rare Friday night out with my BFF coming up last week I decided to utilise a new service offered by blow LTD that I’d been asked to try out.

Who are They?

blow LTD are the Uber of the beauty world! They offer expert beauty services to you door, whether at home, work, hotel or event. You simply download the app via the app store or google play,  register, and select one of the services they have on offer. Treatments include, Blow Dries, Make Up, Nails, Lashes and even Yoga and Pilates for some areas of the country.

One of the things that impressed me the most was the availability – 7am ’til late and you can book as late as 2 hours before the time required – great for those last minute panics!

All the stylists and experts are vetted by blow LTD so you can rest assured that there is a great level of service – I’m particularly loyal to my regular hairdresser as she knows how to control my unruly mane, but I felt confident that I’d be in safe hands with a blow stylist.

The Service

I’d booked my blow dry via the app for 7:30pm last Friday night, so that I could help Dave get the kids to bed and jump in the shower before my stylist arrived. However, Dave got stuck in London with work so I panicked a little, but Mum and Dad popped over to help out with Ruby and Frankie and Dad took a keen creative role as lead photographer (he now fancies himself as a bit of a Testino and wants to steal my camera!).

Anna, the lovely stylist arrived bang on time and typically the kids were not co-operating. Frankie was screaming the house down and wouldn’t go to sleep for my Mum; and Ruby was reading “Biff and Chip at the Pond” for the 8th time to my Dad.

Anna wasn’t phased by the chaos that she was greeted with at all. She was happy for me to go off to calm Frankie down (it didn’t work and he ended up downstairs watching Anna as she dried my hair – giving her his best “I’m so cute and charming” smile for the duration). Anna chatted easily with Ruby who was fascinated with her long wavy baby pink hair!

blow ltd blow dry menu

Anna was happy to be briefed on the style I’d like or alternatively, blow LTD supply a “Looks Menu” for customers to choose from. I opted for “Beach Blow” which is a bit of a ‘go to’ look for me when my hair isn’t scraped up into a pineapple ponytail for the school run/gym.

I told Anna that my hair was a nightmare, describing how it’s really thick, holds onto water like a camel and is naturally very wavy, but not a nice beach babe mermaid wave – more a Justin Lee Collins/Keith Lemon vibe. She wasn’t phased by this brief and got to work using some lovely Kérastase products.

Blow Dry hair style

She’d dried and styled my hair just the way I like it in 30 minutes flat and left me to slap on some make-up and leg it out of the house before the kids could get sticky fingers on me. I was so impressed I’ve already booked my next ‘blow job’!

blow LTD services are available in London, Manchester and Birmingham and prices start from £30.00.

The lovely team at blow LTD are offering our readers £20.00 off first treatments with the code EV20 – thats Make Up for £10 and Hair Styling for £15!! Download the app, register and book in for this weekend!
