Amy and Alison met in 2012 at an NCT class, when they were both nervously expecting their first children. The months following the births included many meet ups in their local John Lewis cafe, for tea and cake whilst exchanging advice and tips on how to get babies to sleep! After a year of Maternity Leave, they both headed back to their demanding jobs to start their new lives as busy Working Mums. Fast forward 4 years, and their common interest in Yoga and experience of being busy Mum’s prompted the idea of ‘Mantras and Mayhem’ – an online community where parents can meet to discuss the daily trials and tribulations, and their desire to take time out to concentrate on ‘me’ – whether that be through Yoga, Pilates or simple relaxation.
AMY IS 33 YEARS OLD & A GEMINI. MARRIED TO DAVE (33) AND HAS TWO CHILDREN RUBY- ROSE (4) & FRANKIE (1)
In her twenties Amy regularly practised Yoga, but after her first child, and the return to full time city banking job in Marketing, she hung up her Yoga mat as life was too busy. After the arrival of her second child, she wanted to shed her baby weight so started a clean eating plan and decided to revisit Yoga. Amy then realised how much she had missed Yoga and how good it made her feel both mentally and physically. Amy tries to get to a Yoga class at least 3 times a week.

ALISON IS 36 YEARS OLD & AN ARIES. MARRIED TO STUART (44) AND HAS TWO CHILDREN, GEORGE (4) AND BABY CAMILLA
Alison only started Yoga when her son was 2 years old. She felt that she needed some time away from the family, where she could exercise and take her mind off the daily stresses of life. She decided to try Yoga and loved the combination of physical challenge and focusing of the mind. Now baby Camilla has arrived, she is planning on exploring some Postnatal Yoga.
